PROJECT UPDATE: The Stanton Steel House is Ready for Living

We’re thrilled to share a few shots of the finished Stanton Steel House. This dramatic urban design is located on a sharply angled street corner in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood. The house was developed and sold by E Properties, one of our local partners, with custom interiors crafted by Katie Binetti at By Binetti.

The exterior features towering Corten steel accent walls that celebrate the city’s steelmaking past. These walls are already deep into the oxidation process, with orange hues and beautiful textures that will continue to evolve through exposure to the elements. With muted tones of gray and steel, the rest of the Stanton Steel House blends well with city life while still making a visual statement.

Inside, we placed the common area on level two and installed large picture windows to give the owner both privacy and great views of the park across the street. We also connected the roof deck to the owner’s suite. This creates more daily encounters with the outdoors than a destination roof deck. In addition, the home’s living spaces include three bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus a two-car garage.
