Rethinking the Classic Urban Porch House: The Front Porch Series is a design exploration for a new generation of affordable, urban single-family homes created in partnership with R Kyndall Development Group – a long-time client of Cipriani Studios – and Pittsburgh’s Urban Redevelopment Authority.

This design concept leverages the neighborhood pattern of tight-knit houses, each with large front urban porch, which have always been a social focus of urban living, allowing residents and passersby to connect with one another. 

Our prototype is a highly customizable modern home that both complements this pattern and allows the accent feature to reflect the owner’s taste.
